1.Mai – 12:00 – U3 Ottakring<\/p>\n

Das letzte Jahr hat uns die Probleme in unserer Gesellschaft und die Notwendigkeit uns dagegen gemeinschaftlich zu organisieren noch einmal besonders vor Augen gef\u00fchrt. Unter dem Motto \u201eKapitalismus ist die Krise \u2013 Soziale K\u00e4mpfe verbinden!\u201c ruft Bildung Brennt daher gemeinsam mit anderen Organisationen dazu auf unseren \u00c4rger, unsere Wut aber auch unsere Hoffnung am 1. Mai kollektiv auf die Stra\u00dfe zu tragen.<\/p>\n

Die 10.000 Menschen in \u00d6sterreich und die 144 Millionen weltweit, die an COVID verstorben sind, sind nicht nur Opfer des Virus geworden, sondern auch Opfer der kapitalitischen Logik und der neoliberalen Politik, die das Sozial- und Gesundheitswesen kaputtgespart hat, und stets Profite \u00fcber Menschenleben stellt.<\/p>\n

Durch die Krise ist die psychische Belastungen f\u00fcr Viele unertr\u00e4glich geworden, besonders auch f\u00fcr Studierenden: eine Studie der Uni Innsbruck zeigt, dass ein Drittel aller Studierenden unter Stress, Depression, \u00c4ngste und Isolation leidet. Hinzu kommen Zukunfts\u00e4ngste, welche durch die um 16 % gestiegenen Arbeitslosigkeit unter jungen Menschen befeuert werden. Anstatt Studierende in dieser Krisensituation zu unterst\u00fctzen, hat das Bildungsministerium die Zeit genutzt und eine Novelle des Universit\u00e4tsgesetz durchgebracht, die den Zugang zu Hochschulen und die demokratische Mitbestimmung an Universit\u00e4ten erwschwert. Danke f\u00fcr nichts.<\/p>\n

Wir sehen es aber auch als unsere Aufgabe, auf andere Missst\u00e4nde in unserer Gesellschaft aufmerksam zu machen und gemeinsam gegen Ungerechtigkeiten zu k\u00e4mpfen. Denn die Probleme, die jede_r einzelne von uns erf\u00e4hrt sind nicht individuell, sondern Symptome des gleichen ausbeuterischen Systems. Ein System, welches von steigender Arbeitslosigkeit profitiert, da dadurch Menschen in noch prek\u00e4rere Arbeitsverh\u00e4ltnisse gedr\u00e4ngt werden k\u00f6nnen. Wo zwar Milliarden an Euros in die Industrie und ihre Aktion\u00e4r_innen gepumpt werden, aber das Arbeitslosengeld und die Notstandshilfe nicht erh\u00f6ht werden, kaum mehr in das Gesundheitswesen investiert und der Kunst- und Kulturbereich alleingelassen wird. \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b Ein System das auf Ungleichheit fu\u00dft und patriarchale und rassistische Strukturen reproduziert, weil diese unabdingbar f\u00fcr dessen Fortbestand sind. Ein System, das Menschen an den europ\u00e4ischen Au\u00dfengrenzen t\u00f6tet und in Kriegsgebiete abschiebt.<\/p>\n

Viele von uns f\u00fchlen sich einsam und das nicht nur wegen der Pandemie. In einer von Leistungs- und Konkurrenzdruck gepr\u00e4gten Gesellschaft wird Kollektivit\u00e4t zum Ausnahmefall. \u00d6ffentlicher und konsumfreier Raum, in dem Begegnungen stattfinden k\u00f6nnen, werden weniger und immer weiter reglementiert. Lasst uns das \u00e4ndern! Lassen wir keine Vereinzelung zu, sondern verbinden wir unsere K\u00e4mpfe und k\u00fcmmern wir uns solidarisch umeinander \u2013 sowohl in unserem Umfeld als auch auf gesamtgesellschaftlicher Ebene. Nur so k\u00f6nnen wir Verbesserungen f\u00fcr uns Alle erreichen.<\/p>\n

The last year has once again made us particularly aware of the problems in our society and the need to organize collectively against them. Under the motto „Capitalism is the Crisis – Uniting Social Struggles!“, Bildung Brennt is therefore calling together with other organizations to collectively take our anger, our rage, but also our hope to the streets on 1st of May.<\/p>\n

The 10,000 people in Austria and the 144 million worldwide who have died of COVID have not only become victims of the virus, but also victims of capitalist logic and neoliberal policies that have cut social and health services to the bone and always put profits before human lives.<\/p>\n

Due to the crisis, the psychological strain has become unbearable for many, especially for students: a study by the University of Innsbruck shows that one third of all students suffer from stress, depression, anxiety and isolation. In addition, there are fears about the future, which are fueled by the 16% increase in unemployment among young people. Instead of supporting students in this crisis situation, the Ministry of Education has used the time to push through an amendment to the University Act that makes access to universities and democratic participation in universities more difficult. Thanks for nothing.<\/p>\n

But we also see it as our task to draw attention to other shortcomings in our society and to fight together against injustice. Because the problems that each and every one of us experiences are not individual, but symptoms of the same exploitative system. A system that profits from rising unemployment, because people can be pushed into even more precarious working conditions. Where billions of euros are pumped into industry and its shareholders, but unemployment benefits are not increased, hardly any investment is made in health care, and the arts and culture are left alone. A system that is based on inequality and reproduces patriarchal and racist structures, because these are indispensable for its continued existence. A system that kills people at Europe’s external borders and deports them to war zones.<\/p>\n

Many of us feel lonely and not only because of the pandemic. In a society characterized by the pressure to perform and competition, collectivity is becoming the exception. Public and consumption-free space, where encounters can take place, are becoming fewer and more and more regulated. Let us change this! Let’s not allow isolation, but let’s join our struggles and take care of each other in solidarity – both in our surroundings and on the level of society as a whole. Only in this way can we achieve improvements for all of us.<\/p>\n
